Learn about the impact of EDCs on Women's health!
Endocrine-disrupting chemicals also known as EDCs are synthetic compounds that interfere with the body’s hormonal systems, leading to a wide range of health issues, particularly for women. EDCs can be found in everyday products such as cosmetics, plastics, and even food packaging, making exposure nearly unavoidable.
These chemicals have been linked to reproductive problems, hormone imbalances, and developmental issues, which can severely impact women's health throughout their lives. The risks of long-term exposure to even low levels of EDCs are concerning, especially when it comes to fertility, menstrual health, and pregnancy.
Our mission is to raise awareness about the significant impact EDCs have on women’s health across New Jersey. We are a team of 7 students, including 6 high schoolers and 1 college student, dedicated to educating the public about the harmful effects of these chemicals.
Through workshops we aim to empower New Jersey communities with the knowledge and tools to minimize exposure to EDCs and advocate for policies that protect women’s health. Together, we can work towards a healthier, more informed future!
